Madrid Airport Transfer to San Lorenzo de El Escorial
One of the most visited attractions in El Escorial is the monastery, or ‘Monastario’. It has been crowned as the eighth wonder of the world and has some wonderfully preserved renaissance architecture from the 16th and 17th centuries.
To get to San Lorenzo de El Escorial by suburban bus, you can take either 661, or 664 from the Moncloa station interchange. To reach Moncloa from the airport.
Metro: Nuevos Ministerios (Pink Line, L8)
Metro: Moncloa (Grey Line, L6)
Take metro line 8 until Nuevos Ministerios, and then change onto metro line 6; getting off at Moncloa. The 661 takes around 55 minutes and stops at 10 other stations before arriving at San Lorenzo de El Escorial. It runs around 06:55 until approximately 24:30 weekdays, with reduced hours at weekends.
