Imax Cinema - The 3D extravaganza

IMAX Cinema in Madrid
The IMAX cinemas in Madrid

IMAX are well known for their enormous screens and 3D effects and is a great day out for all the family.

The IMAX incorporates 3 different types of experience. There's the IMAX 600m2 screen. It's equivalent to 3 tennis courts in size, and has to be seen to be believed.

If you want to feel as though you are literally part of the film, there's the Omnimax dome, which is 900m2 and 30m in diameter. The fish eye screen gives a feeling of total immersion in the film.

For yet more thrills, try watching a film on the IMAX 3D screen with the special glasses provided. You feel like you can reach out and touch the images. Not for the faint hearted! (Especially if you go and see the 'Haunted Castle' (Castillo Encantado)
