Real Madrid Football Club are famous for their success, which includes 29 Spanish League titles, 17 Spanish Cup titles, 9 European Championship Cup titles, 1 UEFA Super Cup Title, 2 UEFA Cup Titles, 1 League Cup Title, 7 Spanish Super Cup Titles and too many more trophies to mention.

The base for Real Madrid FC is the Bernabéu stadium, which was first built in 1947. Previously to this the Real Madrid soccer team played at Viejo Chamartín stadium. They are managed by López Caro, and the Real Madrid Football Club Chairman is Florentino Pérez.

Real Madrid FC can boast of many famous players and they have also been voted as the ‘20th Century’s Best Club’ by the football organization FIFA.

Real Madrid Football Club was founded in 1902, and the club began the Spanish league ‘La Liga’. Amazingly, since then, they have never been relegated from the Premier Division.

Real Madrid also have a basketball team. They also play in a white strip and are equally as successful in their sport.


The Politics Of Real Madrid Football Club

There is huge rivalry between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. The two teams have been seen as representative of the opposition between the two regions of Spain; Castile and Catalonia. During the civil war, many believed that Real Madrid were essentially Franco’s team, and that Barcelona FC represented the opposition. Although the political views of the various players and managers involved in the team at the time did not adhere to these rumours.

The Santiago Bernabéu stadium is open to the general public during non-match days. You can either purchase a ticket and guide book, and follow the tour under your own steam, or reserve a guide in advance. This is a Real Madrid fans dream! You get to visit everything from the dressing rooms to the presidential box.

There’s also an extensive trophy room, containing literally hundreds of cups. At the end of the tour, you will leave through the well stocked Real Madrid shop, that is packed with every kind of strip that a Real Madrid football fan could desire!
