Walking into the Bauza Hotel Madrid gives you  a bit of a surprise! From the outside the entrance and reception appear small and dark, but inside the lobby opens out and is decorated in a minimalist, but smart and very modern style. There’s a lot more to this hotel then meets the eye, and many people from the area visit the hotel just to eat in its restaurant.

Hotel Facilities

The Bauza Hotel Madrid has been designed so that it guests can relax. There’s a reading room with a fireplace, a gym and separate saunas for men and women and massages are available.

The hotel boasts its stylish restaurant on the first floor. It is the ultimate in style and even has designer plates, fresh flowers and very artistic looking Mediterranean food. The chef frequently changes the menu and the restaurant has quite a following. The restaurant has huge picture windows that allow you to look out over the road of Goya, where you can spend ages watching the elite of Madrid browsing the exclusive boutiques.

Underneath the hotel is also a disco, “La Boite del Pintor”.

There are 3 rooms specially adapted for disabled needs in the hotel. They have easy entry showers and wider doors.

The Bauza Hotel Madrid has 12 meeting rooms and the maximum capacity of the largest room is up to 350 guests.

They offer secretarial services, simultaneous translation, hostesses, a stenographer, a reception area and will cater for coffee breaks, business meals, working lunches and cocktail evenings. It is also possible to hire sound and video equipment. You can hire projectors, podiums, screens, a sound system and computers.

There are 159 rooms, plus 8 superior rooms with a terrace, 3 suites and 7 apartments. Each room has: en-suite bathroom with a full bath, AC, telephones, stereo, internet connection, satellite TV, minibar, safe, hairdryer, pillow menu, book and CD menu, and a Play Station.

Hotel Location And Facilities

The Bauza Hotel Madrid is in the Barrio (district) of Salamanca. This area is well known for its many exclusive boutiques. Calle Serrano, which is 5 minutes walk from the hotel has what is known as ‘the Golden Mile’ of shops that is equivalent to London’s Bond Street.

El Corte Ingles Department Store Is Close To The Bauza Hotel Madrid

There are plenty of facilities such as banks within a minutes walk too. You’ll find café bars with tables on the pavement, where you can sit under the shade of the trees. There are cash points within a minutes walk, and 100 metres along the road is the huge department store of El Corte Ingles that also house a supermarket.

In just 10 – 15 minutes you can walk to Retiro park, and in 20 minutes you can walk to the Prado or Thyssen-Bornemisza museum.

How To Get From The Airport To The Hotel

Via Taxi: A taxi from the airport should take about 20 minutes and cost about 22 euros (including airport supplement), depending on much traffic there is, and if you haven’t got excess baggage (that all baggage fits inside the boot and interior of the taxi).

Via Metro: You can take various metro routes directly from the airport to arrive at Goya metro near the Bauza Hotel Madrid. Line number 8 leaves from inside the airport between terminals 1 and 2. See below for the quickest route:

Metro: Mar de Cristal (Pink Line, L8) Then change and head for Goya (Brown Line, L4).

Via Bus: You can take a red EMT public bus from the airport to Avenida America. The number bus that takes this route is the 115. From there it’s quicker to change to the metro, as it’s only2 stops away.
