Walking into the Bauza Hotel Madrid gives you a bit of a surprise! From the outside the entrance and reception appear small and dark, but inside the lobby opens out and is decorated in a minimalist, but smart and very modern style. There’s a lot more to this hotel then meets the eye, and many people from the area visit the hotel just to eat in its restaurant.

The hotel boasts its stylish restaurant on the first floor. It is the ultimate in style and even has designer plates, fresh flowers and very artistic looking Mediterranean food. The chef frequently changes the menu and the restaurant has quite a following. The restaurant has huge picture windows that allow you to look out over the road of Goya, where you can spend ages watching the elite of Madrid browsing the exclusive boutiques. It is also possible to hire sound and video equipment. You can hire projectors, podiums, screens, a sound system and computers. The rooms are light and airy, and have polished wooden floors. External views are to Calle Goya. Hotel Location And FacilitiesThe Bauza Hotel Madrid is in the Barrio (district) of Salamanca. This area is well known for its many exclusive boutiques. Calle Serrano, which is 5 minutes walk from the hotel has what is known as ‘the Golden Mile’ of shops that is equivalent to London’s Bond Street.
There are plenty of facilities such as banks within a minutes walk too. You’ll find café bars with tables on the pavement, where you can sit under the shade of the trees. There are cash points within a minutes walk, and 100 metres along the road is the huge department store of El Corte Ingles that also house a supermarket. In just 10 – 15 minutes you can walk to Retiro park, and in 20 minutes you can walk to the Prado or Thyssen-Bornemisza museum. How To Get From The Airport To The HotelVia Taxi: A taxi from the airport should take about 20 minutes and cost about 22 euros (including airport supplement), depending on much traffic there is, and if you haven’t got excess baggage (that all baggage fits inside the boot and interior of the taxi). Via Bus: You can take a red EMT public bus from the airport to Avenida America. The number bus that takes this route is the 115. From there it’s quicker to change to the metro, as it’s only2 stops away.
