There are several Best Western Hotels in Madrid. Best Western is a well-known chain that have both 3 star and 4 star hotels. We visited one of their 3 star hotels, the Best Western Hotel Atlántico. The Best Western Atlantico is a stunning building inspired by 17th and 18th century architectural design. It is easy to spot as it has a French dome on top, that is visible from almost anywhere on Gran Via, the main road where the hotel is located. The reception area has ornate tapestries hanging from the walls, giving it a stately air. There are a couple of regal looking chairs, a richly patterned rug and a stand full of leaflets about other Best Western Hotels, and attractions in Madrid.
Hotel FacilitiesThere’s a sauna and a gym. On the first floor there’s a bar within the lounge. The lounge has huge windows with a panoramic view over Gran Via and is a no-smoking area. The restaurant serves a breakfast buffet between 07:30 and 11:00. Public access internet on the first floor. There’s also an airport shuttle service and a public car park 50 metres from the hotel. Laundry service available. Reception will take care of booking tickets for shows, and arranging car rental for you. Business FacilitiesThis Best Western Hotel Madrid has a meeting room and can provide: video-conference equipment and fax and email service. RoomsThere are 80 rooms that each have: AC and CH, minibar, satellite TV, safe, and most have a small balcony and views to Gran Via. The rooms are each decorated differently, but the theme is cosy and familiar with floral patterns on the bed covers and curtains. Each has en-suite bathroom, which is in a modern style. You can find a cashpoint within 5 minutes walk in either direction too. If you want to buy a few groceries, then cross the road, walk past Plaza Callao and down the hill (a total of a 5 minute walk) and you’ll see the big department store El Corte Ingles.
