When you enter the Gran Atlanta Hotel Madrid you’ll find it spacious and welcoming. There’s an old fashioned feel due to the chandeliers, dark wood walls and richly patterned rugs. One unusual feature is a waterfall that glides down the surface of a large mirror and makes a relaxing sound.

The hotel is in Madrid’s financial zone and so is ideally placed for quick access to several major companies.

The hotel offers a laundry service, parking, a gym, sauna and room service. There’s also a bar, which has a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, and the hotels lays on a varied breakfast buffet.

This is a great hotel for businesses as there are 5 meeting rooms that come complete with audio-visual facilities and the hotel will provide a translation service, catering for coffee breaks, cocktail parties and business lunches.

The largest room measures 180m2 and can hold up to 50 seated people. The smallest room is 15m2 and seats 10.

The Gran Atlanta Hotel Madrid is in the zone known as AZCA, which is Madrid’s business and financial district. There are many large companies nearby, and the main road of Castellana is within 10 minutes walk. Here also, you’ll come across many of Madrid’s largest companies.

Opposite the hotel there are two cafes and a restaurant. If you turn left out of reception and walk for 2 minutes, there’s a small grocers store on the opposite side of the road. There are also 3 estate agents within 1 minute’s walk of the hotel.

To get to the centre of Madrid and to the shops, bars and restaurants where tourists commonly go, you have to take the metro for about 15 minutes.

How To Get From The Airport To The Hotel

Via Taxi: A taxi from the airport should take about 20 minutes and cost 20 to 22 euros (including airport supplement), depending on traffic conditions and assuming there is no excess baggage (that all baggage fits inside the boot and interior of the taxi).

Via metroMetro: You can take various metro routes directly from the airport to arrive at Alvarado metro near the Gran Atlanta Hotel Madrid. Line number 8 leaves from inside the airport between terminals 1 and 2. I’ve given the quickest route below with the stations where you need to change listed:

metroMetro: Colombia (Pink Line, L8) Then change and head for Plaza de Castilla (Purple Line, L9) Then change and head for Alvarado (Light Blue Line, L1).

Via Bus: There isn’t a public bus that goes directly from the airport to the area where the hotel is situated.

Always double check exact prices before booking, as the receptionist informed me that prices vary throughout the year. During weekends and fiestas they tend to be higher.
