The Hotel Liabeny Madrid is tucked away up a small street very close to the Puerta del Sol - the official centre of the city. The hotel is in a peaceful zone, and exudes the feeling that it is a little bit special. Its entryway is stylish, and the reception area also has a concierge. On the right as you enter, you'll notice two display cases and beautiful, colourful and unusual jewellery that is available to buy at the hotel.
Next to reception is a sumptuously decorated lounge in plush burgundy and gold, and in the hall that leads to the rooms is an old looking grandfather clock. The hotel has a very stately feel.

The Hotel Liabeny Madrid is well equipped and provides its guests with a café, restaurant and cocktail bar. The Café has an exterior entrance next to the main entrance to the hotel. There's also a laundry service, a Finnish Sauna and a very well equipped gym. The Hotel Liabeny Madrid is one of the few hotels that has guest parking.
The hotel can also arrange car hire, and they have a travel agency, which you'll find next door to the main hotel building.

There are several specially adapted rooms for the disabled. They have wider baths and hand railings.

The Hotel Liabeny Madrid has very good services for business travellers. They have a business centre on the first floor, equipped with PCs with internet access. In reception you can send faxes and make photocopies.

The Hotel Liabeny Madrid is large with 220 rooms. All rooms have full bath, AC, CH, direct dial phone, radio, mini bar, interactive satellite TV, wi-fi internet and a safe. Junior suites are also available. The rooms have a cosy feel, and the view from exterior rooms is over the Plaza del Carmen, which is a small but pleasant square with a few trees.

Hotel Location And Facilities
Within 30 seconds walk are two bars serving Guinness, and in addition as the hotel is only 2 minutes from Puerta del Sol, you have access to hundreds of more traditional Spanish bars, cafes and restaurants.
There is a picturesque Plaza in front of the hotel, and a short walk up the street brings you out onto Gran Via, which is the main road through Madrid and is filled with theatres. You'll find banking facilities on Gran Via too.
How To Get From The Airport To The Hotel
Via Taxi: A taxi from the airport will be about 30 minutes and cost €22.00 to €25.00 (including airport supplement), depending on traffic volume, and assuming there is no excess baggage (that all baggage fits inside the boot and interior of the taxi).
Via 
Metro: You can take various metro routes directly from the airport to arrive at Sol metro near the Hotel Liabeny Madrid. Line number 8 leaves from inside the airport between terminals 1 and 2. I've given the quickest route below with the stations where you need to change listed:
Metro: Mar de Cristal (Pink Line, L8) Then change and head for Goya (Red Line, L2) Then change and head for Sol (Red Line, L2).
Via Bus: The red EMT public bus from the airport goes to Avenida America. The number bus that takes this route is the 115. From there it's quicker to change to the metro.
