Review Hotel Melia Madrid Serrano
Page Content

The first thing that hits you about the Melia Madrid Serrano hotel when you walk inside is how shiny it is. There are mirrored surfaces everywhere. I found it to have a serene and businesslike atmosphere. Straight in front of you when you enter, you'll see a cosy bar and several seating areas. It also has a unique feature in the form of a 'Royal Service' floor where guests are treated to extra services.

Hotel Location And Facilities
The metro is only 5 minutes from the Hotel Melia Madrid Serrano, and it's a pleasant walk through tree-lined streets. The hotel is in the barrio (district) of Salamanca, on the East side of Madrid centre. This is one of the most upmarket areas and the famed Calle Serrano street with its numerous boutiques is just 10 minutes walk away. As a whole the Barrio Salamanca is residential, but there are also a lot of important companies based there.

About 10 minutes walk up the road you'll come to the well-known art museum Lazaro Galdiano. Also along the street of Claudio Coello where the hotel is found, are a few café bars with outdoor terraces, the post office and a quaint tea shop.
At the southern end of Claudio Coello street is Retiro Park and nearby the museums of Prado and Thyssen-Bornemisza. To walk to Retiro park from the Hotel Melia Madrid Serrano would take about half an hour.
