Review Hotel Melia Madrid Serrano
The first thing that hits you about the Melia Madrid Serrano hotel when you walk inside is how shiny it is. There are mirrored surfaces everywhere. I found it to have a serene and businesslike atmosphere. Straight in front of you when you enter, you'll see a cosy bar and several seating areas. It also has a unique feature in the form of a 'Royal Service' floor where guests are treated to extra services.
You won't go hungry at the Hotel Melia Madrid Serrano. There's a hearty breakfast buffet in addition to Restaurant Diábolo, (international and Mediterranean cooking); Restaurant Tridents, (buffet dishes to mix and match); and the Piano Bar. You can enjoy stunning views across the city from the terrace of the restaurant.
They also have a 'Wellness Centre' which includes: gym, steam bath, sauna, massage room, UVA sunbeds, jacuzzi and there's a solarium on the roof that gives you good views of the city.

And a specialised team dedicated to organising conferences and events and the hotel can supply a full range of audio-visual equipment if ordered in advance.
Each of the rooms at the Hotel Melia Madrid Serrano is decorated in a different style, with a homely feel. There are 261 double rooms in total, (118 of which are superior rooms), 43 single rooms and 5 luxurious Junior Suites. Superior rooms and Junior Suites are larger and have added seating.

Hotel Location And Facilities
The metro is only 5 minutes from the Hotel Melia Madrid Serrano, and it's a pleasant walk through tree-lined streets. The hotel is in the barrio (district) of Salamanca, on the East side of Madrid centre. This is one of the most upmarket areas and the famed Calle Serrano street with its numerous boutiques is just 10 minutes walk away. As a whole the Barrio Salamanca is residential, but there are also a lot of important companies based there.
About 10 minutes walk up the road you'll come to the well-known art museum Lazaro Galdiano. Also along the street of Claudio Coello where the hotel is found, are a few café bars with outdoor terraces, the post office and a quaint tea shop.
At the southern end of Claudio Coello street is Retiro Park and nearby the museums of Prado and Thyssen-Bornemisza. To walk to Retiro park from the Hotel Melia Madrid Serrano would take about half an hour.
