Hotel Facilities

The hotel has 110 parking spaces for guests, its own tourist information centre, restaurant, piano bar, laundry service, room service and an attractive lush grassed garden.
The piano bar is to the left as you walk in, and has a beautiful grand piano and several comfortable sofas and chairs to relax on. The restaurant is through a separate door, just off from the piano bar. This is the perfect place to enjoy pre-dinner drinks.
Facilities For The Disabled
There are 4 rooms that have been specially adapted for disabled use, with wider doors and easy access bathrooms.
Business Facilities
There are 6 function rooms that can take up to 900 people, and there's also a business centre for use as if it were your office. The function rooms are full of natural daylight and also have AC, cordless phone and internet lines.

There are 245 rooms in total, including 61 rooms that are on the executive floor, and 8 suites. The executive floor has additional facilities for business people such as internet connection and fax facilities. There are also no-smoking rooms available and each room comes with and en-suite marble bathroom, temperature control, digital safe, minibar, satellite TV, pay TV, ISDN modem line, hair dyer and work desk.
Views from external rooms are across the street to the railway lines. The street itself has some trees and plants.
Hotel Location And Facilities

At first glance the area where the hotel is appears quite industrial, but there are some facilities nearby. Walking 2 minutes up the road keeping Atocha station on your right, will bring you nearer to Delicias metro. Before you get there you'll come across 2 little café bars that serve tapas.
Next door to the hotel is a cosy and authentic Spanish restaurant, and there's a bar and pizzeria 20 metres down the road. Keep walking and turn right onto Calle Bustamante and after 5 minutes you'll come to a beauty salon and a newsagents. There are also 3 restaurants on this road.
A 10 minutes walk will bring you out next to the main entry of Atocha station, and opposite here is the Reina Sofia museum. It's a further 10 minutes to walk either to the centre of Madrid or to the Prado museum.

Public transport options
Via Taxi: A taxi from the airport will be about 30 minutes depending on traffic volume. The following price includes airport supplement and is valid assuming there is no excess baggage (that all baggage fits inside the boot and interior of the taxi).
Taxi Fare: €22.00 - €30.00
Via Metro: You can take various metro routes directly from the airport to arrive at Delicias metro near the Atocha Hotel Madrid Rafael. Line number 8 leaves from inside the airport between terminals 1 and 2. The quickest route is given below with the stations where you need to change listed:
Metro: Mar de Cristal (Pink Line, L8) Then change and head for Diego de Leon (Brown Line, L4) Then change and head for Sol (Red Line, L2), and finally, take the line to Delicias (Yellow Line, L3).
Via Bus: You can take a red EMT public bus from the airport to the Avenida America train, bus and coach station. The number bus that takes this route is the 115. From there it's quicker to change to the metro.
